The Sixth Annual Panel of the AK Gender provides a forum for
scientists in the humanities and social sciences for Middle Eastern Studies.
It encourages them to present multi-disciplinary papers on issues of
Gender within past and present Middle Eastern societies. Scholars may
present papers or can plan a sub panels for at least three papers.

Offers of panels/papers/presentations in English or German are
invited on any of the following areas in Gender in the Middle East
contexts:

- Migration, refugees, human rights
- Embodiment of cultural borders
- Public/private images and realities of gender
- Construction of gendered bodies
- Identity construction via public images
- Transnational women`s and feminist networks
- Islamic Feminism
- Masculinity
Proposals for presentations including title and an abstract (1 page)
